Symptoms of knee injuries: There are several symptoms that characterize knee injuries, namely: Feeling uncomfortable and severe knee pain. In order to distinguish between the different types of knee injuries, you need to know about knee injuries, and especially athletes, because they are the most vulnerable people to injuries due to exercising daily. Types of knee injuries in athletes: There are many types of knee injuries, such as the following: 1. Torn meniscus As a result of bending a lot to the knee, a sprain occurs in the meniscus, and causes pain in the knee. This type is considered one of the most dangerous injuries because if damage occurs in the knee, the joint is replaced through surgery. 2. Tear of the cruciate ligament This injury is one of the most common knee injuries for athletes among soccer players, and the injury occurs due to bending and jumping suddenly, and a fracture and swelling of the ligaments in the middle of the knee, the cruciate ligament injury is accompanied by swelling and swelling in the knee and severe pain. 3. Athletic injuries These injuries are most common among runners, who practice running or jogging for long distances, and the injury occurs due to jumping or jumping up, and because the foot is stretched incorrectly when preparing for traction 4. Osgood-Schlatter syndrome Osgood-Schlatter syndrome affects, and is one of the most common injuries among players between the ages of 10 and 15 years. It spreads among runners and soccer players, and causes inflammation of the cartilage and the emergence of a bone of the knee. 5. The iliac-tibial band syndrome The iliac-tibial band is a straight ligament on both sides of the thigh bone and reaches the knee, and this is one of the most common knee injuries for athletes and specifically for runners, and the injury occurs in an area on both sides of the knee, and its symptoms are intense pain that does not stop. 6. Muscle rupture Due to the sudden rapid movement of the knee ligaments, the patella muscle is sprained and stretched, and it is one of the most severe injuries and its unpleasant pain. 7. Tendinitis This type of pain occurs in the knee and leg region, and the pain reaches the tips of the foot and heel, and this type of injury causes pain for a long time, when doing any muscle effort, even a little. 8. Joint pain syndrome This inflammation occurs in the knee joint and the membrane lining the muscle, and it is due to infections that attack the joint.
